Asosiasi Badan Usaha Pelabuhan Indonesia (ABUPI) adalah wadah bagi para pengusaha nasional Indonesia serta merupakan induk organisasi dari perusahaan nasional yang bergerak di bidang jasa kepelabuhanan yaitu Badan Usaha Pelabuhan (BUP), Terminal Untuk Kepentingan Sendiri (TUKS), dan Terminal Khusus (Tersus).

To achieve the objectives and carry out the functions as referred to in Article 7 and Article 8, ABUPI has the following main responsibilities:
Promoting the functions and roles of maritime services as an economic means in realizing port management systems, service standards, maintaining security, safety, and order of port facilities in the broadest sense;
Assisting members in developing and improving the efficiency of their businesses, by refining procedures, organization, and administration in an integrated manner for the modernization of maritime services businesses; and
Conducting inventory, identification, classification, qualification, accreditation, certification, and recommendations to maritime services companies in accordance with criteria established by ABUPI.
Supporting the improvement of port regulations and related ones to support the interests of Port Business Entities;
Supporting the application and encouraging the implementation of government regulations in the field of ports and related ones to ABUPI Members in particular and port business actors in general;
Providing recommendations and guidance to members and prospective members of ABUPI to meet the requirements for port business licenses and concessions.
